The United Rebel Sprint Series will return to McCook Speedway on Sunday, September 21. With the season winding down for the exciting regional 305 Sprint Car series, many drivers are sure to come to the 3/8-mile action track looking to bolster their points. Three of the four regions of the URSS will be on hand: North, East, and West. More information can be found on the URSS by going to www.unitedrebelsprintseries.com.
The support classes that day will be SportMods and Outlaw Hobby Stocks. SportMods will race for $500.00 to win, based on a 12 car field. The cars must meet either IMCA SportMod rules, or the rules of the Minneapolis Speedway Sportsman Modified rules. Information on those rules can be found at www.imca.com and www.minneapolisraceway.com.
Outlaw Hobby Stocks will be allowed to run any carburetor and 60 series tires. The maximum size for engines will be 360 cubic inches. Heads and blocks will be checked to make sure the engines are legal. This class will race for $350.00 to win, also based on 12 cars.
The pit gates will open at 11 a.m., the grandstand gates at noon, and the races will start at 2 p.m., Central Time. There will be no registration fees for the cars, but all pit passes will be $25.00. Grandstand admission will be $10 for adults, $5 for children 6 - 12, and free for children 5 and under. McCook Speedway is on the Red Willow County Fairgrounds in the northwestern region of McCook, on the corner of West 5th and Q Streets. For more information, contact Chuck Gray at 308-350-1811.

Outlaw Hobby Stocks means that it must not have weight jacks, may not have ballast and anything else goes. You can put stock car engine and tranny in or V-6 you name it and have fun. No claims lets have fun.
