Cheap ford street sleeper/ drag project. $950 runs
I have a UGLY '81 Ford Fairmont Sport Coupe (FOX BODY) that has had parts from a '89 Mustang GT (FOX BODY) swapped into it. 5.0 H.O. with roller rockers, offy alum. intake, holley 4bbl carb, T-5 alum 5-speed tranny, 8.8 rear w/3.08's and a locker, mustang alum. wheels, headers, dual exhaust, etc. Mustang rear suspension. All of the mustang parts have about 25,000 miles on them. The car had been sitting for quite a while until I got it going again last month, so the carb needs some work, but this thing is FAST for what it is. Fries the tires through 3rd gear. I have pretty much stripped everything off the car I could to save weight and still have it driveable on the street as the whole purpose of this car is to kill unsuspecting high dollar rides from stoplight to stoplight in a grandma's car. It runs and drive's now, but needs tires and the carb worked on. Also, I cracked one of the exhaust pipes doing a hole shot last week. I will sell the car the way it sits for $950.00. I also have a set of complete World Products 351 heads that have been ported, and an Erson cam that would bolt right on the car that I would let go with the car for an extra $850.00. Or, for a little more, I have a full roller cam set up and girdles. Also have another shortblock available. You could EASILY have a low 12 second street car for under 3 grand! Hate to sell it, but it is causing problems with the wife, not to mention the neighbors. Half of my neighbors are always wanting to get a ride in it while the other half calls the cops every time I take it out. 402-677-3512
