Interstate Speedway (SD) - Hobby Stock #50
|
Awards & Accomplishments | 19 career Feature wins, Best Appearing Award in a new division at Park Jefferson in 1996, 5 consecutive wins my first season, 7 consecutive wins for that car from one season to the next. | Career Summary | I started going to Interstate Speedway in 1982, watching my uncle Denny race his #30 "Mean Green" BIG-block Chevelles. I have progressively gone from watching, to working on, to building and driving cars. I started driving in 1995 in an entry level class and moved up one division while getting a degree from Iowa State University in transportation and logistics. I currently travel across the U.S. for work and fly into Omaha weekly to race during the summer months. | Racing Goals | To continue to build fast and "more affordable" stock cars out of our garage. | Other Interesting Team Information | We're not the most well funded team. If we can't make it then we have to buy it, not if we can't buy it then we have to make it. You would be surprised at what we have made. I made over 45 round trips from Omaha to Sioux City in 2003 to go racing, four times one weekend. I took about 15 round trip flights in 2004 to go racing. |
