GOTRA Series - Vintage #00
|
Awards & Accomplishments | Won the 1999 "Abe" Lincoln Memorial Trophy Dash at U.S. 30 Speedway in Columbus, NE. My best accomplishment to date was getting through the last six years without crashing! | Career Summary | I have wanted to race ever since my dad raced a Bronco car at Playland Speedway in Council Bluffs, Iowa back in the late 60's. I have only raced GOTRA (Good Ol' Time Racing Association) Coupes. I started in 1997 with a Model A Coupe which I crashed at Thunder Lake Speedway. I rebuilt a '34 Ford Sedan Stock Car which I raced in 1998. I rebuilt the current car, "Devil Woman", in 1999 and have raced it ever since. | Other Interesting Team Information | We call our team "Backyard Racing" because that's where we always worked on our cars - in the backyard! My dad started the tradition when he raced at Playland Speedway in the late 60's and we have perpetuated it ever since. See www.gotra.com for old racing pics and stories as well as race results from the Good Ol' Days! |
