Adams County Speedway (IA) - Stock Car #22
|
Awards & Accomplishments | Over 60 total Feature wins, 1992 Crawford County Speedway Hobby Stock Rookie of the Year, 1995 Shelby County Speedway Pro Am Rookie of the Year, 1996 Shelby County Most Popular Driver, 1997 Adams County Speedway Sportsman of the Year, 1997 Tiny Lund Memorial Nationals Pro Am Championship at Shelby County. We had been 2nd in Points at all three tracks but hadn't won a Championship until 2003. We finally did it! 2003 SCS Track Champs! It's been a long time coming! Then another Championship in 2004. It's been fun! | Career Summary | Started racing motorcycles at age ten. Raced snowmobiles and drag cars, and now running circle track. Started in Hobby Stocks, now in Pro Ams. Hope to be in a Late Model very soon. | Racing Goals | To be competitive every race and win another Championship some day, but most of all HAVE FUN! | Other Interesting Team Information | I love kids! They are always welcome in my pits. The funniest thing I can remember about racing is from Crawford County Speedway. We had led about 16 of 20 laps in the Hobby Feature. I took the white flag and thought it was the checkered. I let up, then realized what had happend when two cars went screaming by. I ended up 3rd. Now sometimes I go an extra lap just to be sure! My long time friend and pitman T.J. Gibson passed away last year. We will miss him. R.I.P. GASSER... Godspeed, Buddy! |
