Other Than Dirt Driver Tracks & Series
|
Awards & Accomplishments | We finished 8th in points in 1999 and 14th in 2000 (with only racing 7 out of 21 nights) at Mid-Nebraska Speedway. During the 2001 season the #13 Pontiac had 6 wins, 6 2nd's, 7 3rd's, 3 4th's, and won the Points Championship at Mid-Nebraska! | Career Summary | My grandfather (Larry Weir) got me interested in racing at a young age. He raced from the early 70's to the mid 80's. He lived in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and raced at all the tracks in the area. My grandmother (Johann Weir) worked on the racecar while my grandpa was working. He won the Points Championship four years in a row. The first real experince with racing was with Dan Schweer. I really like racing and see why my grandpa liked it so much. | Racing Goals | To win the 2001 Points Championship (accomplished!), to have fun, and be able to load the car on the trailer under its own power. | Other Interesting Team Information | The first race I was in, while we were in 2nd after a few laps, I got excited and stayed in the gas too much and shot off the track in corner two at Mid-Nebraska Speedway. We came back on the track in last place (12th) and finished 4th. Dan said the way he got his car number, 13, was that he was born on Friday the 13th, and his mom said he has been trouble ever since! So 13 was picked as the number. |
