Awards & Accomplishments | I've never finished a feature in last place (hope to prove that nice guys don't have to finish last!), although there have been times when I've been forced to the pits due to engine failure or an unscheduled ride on the roof or a flat tire. I have won over 200 races in Go-Karts, Figure 8 Cars, Modifieds, Winged Sprint Cars, and Stock Cars. At 18, I won the second Figure 8 race I entered at Sportsdrome Speedway in Grand Prairie, Texas, and have finished in the Top 10 in every class I have contested in for a full race season ever since. | Career Summary | I started my racing career in 1975 at the age of 18 in a Figure 8 car. | Racing Goals | To be The Best at what ever I set out to do. | Other Interesting Team Information | I am very active in my church, local community, and in local organizations. Valvoline recruited me for their "No To Drugs" program and I do all I can to represent their company and products professionally, including making personal appearances at schools, churches, and on TV and radio throughout the racing season. I was also the co-host of "RACETALK", a weekly radio show in Dallas. I have worked with the Texas Special Olympics and the Dallas Morning News in raising money at the Annual Dallas Morning News Celebrity Carnival. Although some consider my driving to be very agressive and fearless, I always try to take time during a busy race schedule to sign an autograph, talk to a fan or pose for a picture.
