| Awards & Accomplishments | I started racing in 2000 in a Junior Sprint. I was nine years old and had never raced anything before. By my fourth week of racing I set fast time and won the Nebraska State race. I went on that year to win the Track Championship at CRP, Region 6 Championship, Rookie of the Year, and finished 5th Nationally. I set fast time and new track records many times, but the highlight would be at the Nationals where I not only set fast time, but broke the track record. In 2001 I continued to race a Junior Sprint and I had my goals set to be the National Champion. I accomplished this with too many highlights to list. In 2002 I moved into the Restrictor class, where once again I had an outstanding rookie year. I was the Wavelink Champion, Region 6 Champion and finished 10th Nationally. In 2003 I finished 2nd in Points at Wavelink, 1st in Region 6, and 3rd Nationally. I set many fast times throughout the 2003 season, including a new track record at Nationals. I broke my own track record at Wavelink twice in 2003. In 2004 I claimed 3 BIG honors - Tulsa Shoot Out Championship, NMMA Championship and Valvoline Cup Championship. In 2005 I stepped up to the Multi class in the Mini-Sprint cars with great success, and would also pilot my new 305 Sprint Car for 3 A Feature wins, as well as compete in an ASCS 360 race. In 2006 after returning to racing after my serious injury, success was once again my friend. I raced a 360 weekly at Eagle Raceway where I finished 3rd in Track Points and was Rookie of the Year. I also competed in the Midwest ASCS Series where I finished 2nd in Points and was Rookie of the Year there too. I won 2 A Features at Eagle, and made every A Feature for the 2006 season. It is still hard to believe how great a season I had in 2006. I can only hope my sophomore year will be as good.
| | Career Summary | I ran Junior Sprints in 2000 and 2001, moved up to Restrictors for 2002 through 2004, and then Multis and 305 Sprints in 2005. 2005 was cut short because of an accident involving my trailer. 2006 was my first full year in a 360, and in 2007 I will move on to 410's at Knoxville. I will still run my 360 with the ASCS in 2007.
| | Racing Goals | Up to this point, my success has been almost unbelievable. I can only hope it will continue. My goal for 2007 is to be the 410 Rookie of the Year at Knoxville and win the ASCS Midwest Region. My long term goals are still NASCAR.
| | Other Interesting Team Information | I had earned the right to display a different number on my Mini-Sprint the last six years, but have chosen not to do so because 53 was my dad's and Joe Kosiski's number. Also, after my first year in the Junior Sprint, I could have been #5 the following year, but instead I kept the 3 behind the 5 in memory of Dale Earnhardt. I was at the Daytona 500 the day he crashed. In 2003 I earned the right to display the #3 on my car for the 2004 season, and the #1 in 2005, but 53 has been a good number so I will keep it as long as I can.
I have a little Alien that rides with me in every car I drive. I have had it for six years.
