96 Explorer XLT New 5.0 Engine
This one is ready to go! 1996 Ford Explorer XLT. All the bells and whistles. Fresh 5.0 V8, a lot of new parts in this one. New oil pump, mains and rod bearings. Fresh valve grind and seals, new front and rear main seals, all new gaskets throughout motor. New water pump, serpentine belt, spark plugs and wires. New air filter, new oversize tires. Is an AWD 4x4. Interior is in great shape has cruise tilt and all the goodies. Attempted to repair ac, replaced high side hose between condensor and evaporator, new orafice tube and recharged with leak dye in the system. AC was frosty cold 45 degrees at the duct and everything was working fine, 4 days later the refrigerant was gone, found no trace of dye externally so it is probably an evaporator. About a 2 hour job and $50 (new on ebay, add $15 for shipping) I knocked off $200 from the asking price of this to compensate for AC repair. Truck has overhead compass/temp display, auto dimming mirror. AMFM cassette with a 6 disc CD changer. Full size spare tire, fresh front end alignment and ready to go. Has power windows and power sliding sunroof.
