Party Bus / Husker Bus (81 Ford School Bus)
This Bus (1981 Ford Series B-600 48 passenger) was purchased by a group of guys that wanted to be able to travel to football games, races , play cards, and tailgate. We purchased it from a school and began to make our changes to it. We first gutted it out and put down astro-turf carpet through out the bus. We then took 2-6' masonite tables cut them in half and mounted them to the walls and put the seats around them. Each table has 4 beverage holders. The tables are removable to be placed on the side of the bus for outside use. It now seats 25 ppl, including the driver, very comfortably. We put in an Air-Ride seat out of a Semi Tractor to get a comfortable ride for the driver. There are the standard school bus racks above the seats but we also built cabinets in the back. We then put in a toilet with a holding tank below the bus floor. THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER, this is for liquid only. The back windows and lower side windows are tinted with mirror tint. The stereo is a Sony Xplod CD player with Kenwood speakers and a 300 Watt amplifier. The complete electrical system has been gone through in 06', new batteries, connectors, New 130 amp alternator, ect. The motor is a rebuilt 8.2 Detroit Diesel with a rebuilt 540 Allison Transmission with very low miles. The bus has 184,000 actual miles on it. We've haven't had any problems what so ever with the motor and tranny. The motor starts immediatly no matter how long its been sitting or how cold it is. The tires are in very good shape. All new steering column, and front end suspension. All new springs and shocks all-around. I do have a note book of all repairs, dates and mileage, plus part #'s of the major parts. My father is the schools mechanic that worked on this bus, so if further information is needed I should be able to get it for you. This bus would make a great RV or just a great party bus. We've rented it out for weddings, casino trips, football trips, birthday parties, and business functions. Just a little tender loving care and this could be one nice bus. If you license it as a motor home you do not need a CDL (at least in Nebraska, check your local laws). Buyer must pick up unless other arrangements are made. Payment must be in full before buyer takes possession. Email For Pics. South Central Nebraska. Make Offer (Realistic Please)we'll negotiate. Gotta Sell!!!
