GM Blowproof Bellhousing
I just traded for a blowproof bellhousing/scattersheild intending to cut it up as appropriate to lighten it to run in an IMCA modified, but what I ended up with is just too nice to start chopping on so I decided to see if anyone out there can use it!
This bellhousing/scattersheild has the multiple bolt pattern to be used on any GM engine- Buick Olds Pontiac Caddy as well as Chevy. Has the starter bulge on both sides to fit whichever side starter your engine has. Not sure of the brand of it, but it's gold colored like a McCloud bellhousing, built every bit as heavy as a Lakewood, and is in EXCELLENT shape- looks just as good as a new one.
These sell new on ebay, Summit Racing, Jegs, etc for close to and over 300 bucks depending on manufacturer.
I'd take $200 for this one OR trade for an IMCA-modified-legal lightweight bellhousing OR partial trade for an older more beat-up one I wouldn't feel so bad about hacking up. Better hurry though- the seasons right around the corner, don't have time to ebay it, and if worse comes to worse, the plasma cutter's gonna get this one!
Also- it'd be best if you were within reasonable distance- Nebraska or immediate areas of the surrounding states, since shipping this heavy thing would be expensive...although if someone bought it flat out I'd ship it with you paying whatever shipping costs were.
