 Career Summary
I started racing Go-Karts at the age of five and won 3 Track Championships at Wavelink Raceway Park. I moved up at the early age of 8 to the Junior 1 class. I ran a year or two locally and won the Track Championship in the last year of competition at Wavelink Raceway Park. After Wavelink closed in 2009 we started to travel a lot more and raced with several traveling series and soon transferred, again at an earlier age, to the Junior 2 class. When we weren't at a national race we went to a few local races close to home. In the last season of Go-Karts I managed to win 11 races straight and we were nearly unbeatable. In the end of Go-Karting at a local, regional, and national level, we ended up with 93 wins and 4 Track Championships. At age 13 I got behind the wheel of a SportMod. My birthday was in July and the car was all ready to race. I hot lapped and practiced as much as I could at a variety of tracks until I turned the minimum age of 14. In the middle of the 2014 season I began racing at two local tracks, I-80 Speedway and Junction Motor Speedway. Right out of the gate we showed speed and ran very well the rest of the season, making many big races at each of those tracks, and posting many Top 10 finishes. Since starting the 2014 season in mid-July I had raced a total of 17 shows. Out of those 17 shows I had 8 Top 10's, 13 Top 15's, and 3 B Feature wins with all of these shows averaging above 30 cars! We reworked the car in the winter and our goal was to race for Points at both I-80 Speedway and Junction Motor Speedway. The 2015 season came quickly through the off-season and it was April before we knew it. The season looked promising as we were figuring the car out week after week. Towards the end of May we decided to venture out and travel to a track that differs from our weekly racing, in Corning, Iowa. We started near the front in the Feature and got spun a few laps in, sending me to the back of the 28 car field. I was nearing the Top 10 again after just a few laps when there was a huge wreck on the front stretch. I almost had it cleared but there was one car left that unfortunately vastly affected the rest of our season. The last car was coming down the track fast when he clipped my right rear tire and sent me spinning sideways, leading the left rear wheel to dig into the ground. The car flipped more than 20 feet in the air several times and ended upside down in a big jumble of sheet metal. The car was totaled and we were forced to start from scratch with a new car as soon as possible to continue our weekly racing. We completed our new car in just three days, barely making it to the show on Friday night. Throughout the rest of the season we had to start from scratch again and figure out what this car liked and working the bugs out of a new car. We had some good runs towards the second half of the season and ended with 28 Top 15's, 20 Top 10's, 8 Top 5's, 8 heat race wins, and 5 B Feature wins, with a total of 45 shows all averaging above 25 cars! We also ended up 4th in Points at Junction Motor Speedway and 6th in Points at I-80 Speedway!

 Racing Goals
Win and have fun. I would like to move up to the IMCA Modified class, and then to USMTS Modifieds, and in the end, race for a living with the Lucas Oil Late Model Series.

 Other Interesting Team Information
One of the reasons I race is because nothing beats that thrill of sitting in Victory Lane after a big race, knowing all the hard work you put into that kart or car. I was lucky enough to come into the SportMod class at a great time. There are several kids my age that are getting into Modifieds and Late Models at such a young age. Rece Vaught raced Go-Karts with me clear back when we were six or seven years old, so you can imagine the many close battles we have had and the friendship our families have built from that. Ryan Jenkins and Jake Hobscheidt are a couple other kids my age, and in the short Modified experience we have all had, we have already battled for many heat race wins and even towards the front of some Feature races. We are all best friends with basically the same goals in the future, and my early experience in Modifieds would not be the same without them. I hope we can all have great results in 2016. I have had a blast so far! I could not do this without the support that I receive from my sponsors, friends, and most of all, my family. I have met some great people and hope to see you at the track!
