 Awards & Accomplishments
2005 - Completed the season with 5 wins, putting my career total to 30. We have decided to move up to the 600cc Restrictor class in 2006. It will move me into a class that has motors with 60 horsepower. My Junior Sprint had only 16 horse. My dad traded my Junior Sprint for a 2002 Bailey roller (no motor).

2004 - Finished 6th in the NMMA National Points (we missed 5th by 1 point), and we completed our season at Wavelink Raceway Park by winning the Track Championship with 21 wins, 5 Trophy Dash wins, recorded the fastest time at the Nebraska State Race, 5 heat wins, one sweep of all three races, 4 2nd place finishes and 3 3rd place finishes.

2003 - Won 4 races, 2 Features, 1 Tropy Dash, 1 heat race, finished 2nd place in 2003 Region 6 Time Trials, 3rd place in Region 6 30-lap Feature and finished 13th in the 2003 National Points.

 Career Summary
I am really looking forward to moving up to the bigger cars. It will be challenging driving a car that can go over 55 miles per hour in the straightaways. My Junior Sprint weighed 400 pounds with car and driver. In the 600cc class the cars must weigh over 750 pounds with car and driver.

In our second year of Junior Sprints we finished 6th in National Points, winning the the Wavelink Track Championship, Local Club Championship and Region 6 Championship. See Career Information above for details.

 Racing Goals
I want to finish every race and learn as much as I can from the other drivers and parents at Wavelink Raceway Park.

 Other Interesting Team Information
In July 2005 we have been approved as a official event for the Shriners Children's Hospitals to help support the Shriners and all the work they do for the children's hospitals. All of the proceeds will go directly to the Children's Hopital organization in Orlando, Florida. Ron and Becky Herms of Woods Brothers Realty will be sponsoring the 8th Annual Shriners Night for Kids on September 11th, 2005.

The goal of the program is to provide an avenue to recognize and promote our sponsors that participate in this program. Our goal is to generate interest in racing, support our local tracks and increase the awareness of the Shriners Hospitals for Children, who provide comprehensive care to children at no charge.

On our way to the 2004 NMMA Nationals in Marion, IL we stopped by the St. Louis Children's Hospital in August 2004 to visit with the children and tour the hospital. We gave away racing trophies to all the children donated by Linda, Chris and Matt Buller from BullerBuilt Go-Karts in Henderson, NE. Chris is a 12-time National Karting Champion and his younger brother Matt is a 7-time National Karting Champion.

On Sunday September 12th we held the 7th annual Shiners Day at the races. We are very happy to report that we were able to raise over $1000 for the Shriners. There was intense bidding for the opportunity to drive Joel Fritz's A Class car for five hot laps. Bill Doleman THE Average Joe race car driver made an appearance and drove the car.

Billy Alley returned to Nebraska in mid January, 2005 and agreed to help Racing for a Reason. He plans to make public and private appearances to promote and educate the public about the Shriners.

On December 31, 2004 T.O. Haas Tire Company has agreed to support Racing for a Reason. They have 24 stores in the Nebraska/Iowa region. Stay tuned for more exciting news.

Please check back to this Web page for updated news on T.O. Haas and more new sponsors. We have been contacted by a few more race teams who are interested in joining the "Racing for a Reason" Team.
