Local Racing losses another long time worker/fan
Local racing lost another long time racer, worker and avid fan in Dirt Doug Riekofski. Dirt Doug was not only a long time employee of I-80 Speedway, first for Rich Bellino and later for LDI and present owners, but had also worked for the Ted Johnson and the World of Outlaws as well George Butland and Jimmy Clifton at the Colorado National Speedway.
Dirt Doug has spent the last years in a home in Norfolk and while Dirt Doug had not worked at I-80 Speedway for the last five years, he still made it to I-80 Speedway's Silver Dollar Nationals each year and to the Malvern Bank Series events at the Off Road Speedway in Norfolk.
Dirt Doug passed away in his sleep Sunday night in Norfolk. Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon in Tilden, Nebraska. | | spincycle | Posted on 12/6/2017 9:47:31 AM
