Want to pass on that the racing community lost a other family member. Mel Sorensen passed away this morning after battling an illness. Mel was a fixture at many tracks around the midwest in the 70's,80's and 90's. After driving he continued as a fan, spectator and sponsor.
I want to extend condolences to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed..
RIP MEL.

condolences to his family and friends....he was one of the best drivers at sunset speedway Omaha ne for many years...RIP
